Congratulations!

Congratulations to two of our partners on their successes over the weekend. Sevenoaks Rugby Club, who held a very successful lunch for us and whose Minis and Juniors raised funds for us during their tour last year – and will again this year, were crowned champions of the London South League on Saturday. Reaching the Finish Line: Molly Runs 365

In 2017, Molly Smith took on the challenge of running 365 consecutive days to support GBWR’s fundraising campaign to support the GB team on the road to Tokyo 2020. Molly’s brother Jack broke his neck 11 years ago and is a member of the GB wheelchair rugby team, and currently plays for Leicester Tigers, the 18/19 Super Series champions. Spam Emails

GBWR has been made aware that some members and staff have been receiving ‘spam’ emails which contain what look like GBWR or other sport-related ‘subject lines’. These ‘spam’ emails may be sent from an email address which is known to the recipient, when the ‘spam’ emails are – in fact – being sent by a ‘spammer’ who has accessed someone’s email account. Celebration of the Life of Jean Stone MBE

Many of you will have known Jean Stone MBE who sadly died in January. Jean was a ‘giant’ in Paralympic sport in the UK and around the world and her contribution to wheelchair sport and to Wheelpower was huge.
