The squad combines Paralympic champions, World Championship veterans and a new generation of athletes who have progressed through the GB Wheelchair Rugby pathway. Together, they will represent Great Britain at the sport’s biggest tournament as they take on the world’s best in São Paulo.
On 17 August, Great Britain will begin its World Championship campaign against the world’s best wheelchair rugby nations.
The squad heading to Brazil reflects the strength of the GB Wheelchair Rugby programme, combining experience, leadership and an exciting new generation of athletes eager to make their mark on the international stage.
Over the coming weeks, these 12 athletes will wear the GB jersey with pride as they compete for the biggest prize in wheelchair rugby.
Stuart Robinson MBE

A Paralympic champion, proven leader and one of the most experienced athletes in the programme, Stuart continues to set standards every time he takes to the court.
With almost a decade at the highest level, his drive to improve and commitment to the team remain as strong as ever.
Tyler Walker

Tyler brings energy, passion and personality to the GB squad.
Having progressed through the GBWR pathway, he has quickly established himself as one of the most exciting young players in British wheelchair rugby, approaching every challenge with enthusiasm and a desire to keep learning.
Oliver Wightman
