GBWR are looking for participants for a survey regarding sponsorship awareness in wheelchair rugby. Our Media & Communications Officer, Nathaniel Holland, is close to the completion of his studies at Coventry University where he will graduate from his MA Sports Marketing degree following the completion of his final research-based dissertation. WR5s Summer League Review

Dorset Destroyers and Leicester Tigers both enjoyed four wins each in their respective conferences in the second weekend of the brand-new Wheelchair Rugby 5s Summer League. With 20 games crammed into just one day at Stoke Mandeville Stadium it was non-stop as all ten sides battled it out in the midway point of the season. 2018 Lord’s Taverners Junior Wheelchair Rugby Championship round-up

Ospreys were crowned 2018 Lord’s Taverners Junior Wheelchair Rugby champions after an impressive display in Stoke Mandeville at the weekend. The annual tournament was first won by Saracens back in 2015 and Exeter Hawks won the 2016 and 2017 editions, but it was the youngsters from South Wales who picked up their first national title after winning all five of their games. GB Wheelchair Rugby Appoint National Development Directors

GB Wheelchair Rugby is delighted to announce the appointment of Julie Bunnage and Paul Arnold as GBWR’s National Development Directors. Julie and Paul will share the role formerly held by Kirsty Clarke who left in March to become Stonewall’s Director of Sport. Julie has acted as interim NDD since Kirsty’s departure, whilst Paul has been the Regional Development Officer for the South East and London since 2013. Since its creation in 2010, the NDD role has expanded considerably to meet the increased scope and scale of delivery undertaken by the NGB. Great Britain Wheelchair Rugby Announce Team for World Championships

Great Britain Wheelchair Rugby has today announced its team to compete in the GIO 2018 Wheelchair Rugby World Championships being held in Sydney, Australia between 5-10 August. The team of 12 includes a balance of youth and experience with five athletes making their World Championship debuts and veteran Jonathan Coggan, from Chelmsford, competing for a record 4th time.
