Wheelchair rugby became the focus of Prince Harry’s attention today as he visited Tedworth House Recovery Centre. GBWR are working with the organisers of Invictus and to support them in providing an exciting wheelchair tournament as part of the games which will take place between 10-13 September.
The Prince spent time watching the session delivered by GBWR as well as talking to some of our existing wheelchair rugby players as they trained alongside the Invictus Team hopefuls.
GBWR CEO David Pond said “It is fantastic to see Prince Harry engaged with the incredible sport of wheelchair rugby. We have had a programme with Help for Heroes for a while now and the opportunity provided by the Invictus Games will look to strengthen this existing initiative”
