Wheelchair Rugby Arrives in Dorset

GBWR are running a series of 4 taster sessions as part of our Sport England funded club development programme in a small town called “Broadstone” just outside Poole. The Dorset Destroyers are bidding to be the newest wheelchair rugby club and working in partnership with the Junction Sports & Leisure centre, the sessions have been designed to attract new players to the sport. Following the first session the numbers taking part have already increased three-fold and with visits from the local Mayor, local Councillors and the local paper the Destroyers are certainly growing at an impressive pace. Invictus Wheelchair Rugby Celebrity Match

HRH Prince Harry will join celebrities announced today to play in the Invictus wheelchair rugby match - see attached link . Johnny Wilkinson and Sir Clive Woodward will each manage one of the teams with GB players Ayaz Bhutta playing in one team and Jim Roberts in the other.
