Annual General Meeting 2020: Calling Notice

As explained in the advance notice of the AGM, the 2020 AGM will be held virtually via Zoom on 23 September starting at 5pm – please register for the meeting at this link. Please note that you will need to register in advance for this meeting, and once your registration has been confirmed (following verification of your membership), you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting, including your unique joining link.

The main part of the meeting will be to consider a Special Resolution to modify the Articles of Association relating to the composition of the Board of Trustees. There is more detail about this in the papers. As previously explained, the restrictions imposed by the COVID-19 lockdown have delayed our auditor from starting their work on our accounts and as such the Annual Report and Financial Statements for 2019-20 will not be available until the end of the year. Board Chair Kevin Aitchison will therefore adjourn the AGM on completion of the items tabled for 23 September before standing down from his role and handing over to new Chair Ed Warner. Ed will re-open the meeting at 6pm on 16 December 2020 to enable the Annual Report and Financial Statements to be presented to members and to conclude any other business.

The attached calling notice outlines the process to be followed should you wish to propose a resolution, table a question under AOB or vote by proxy.

Please note, that only Voting Members (those holding Full GBWR Membership) are entitled to vote.

Attached are a number of key documents which you should read. Should you have any questions then please email DanielHook@RFU.com. The Chair, Trustees and Senior Management Team very much look forward to you joining the virtual meeting on 23 September.
