Adam Scaturro brings a wealth of international experience and elite-level insight to his role as Lead Coaching Consultant for Great Britain Wheelchair Rugby. A former athlete for Team USA, Adam competed at the highest level of the sport before transitioning into coaching, where he has continued to make a significant impact.
Adam’s playing career included representing the United States at multiple international tournaments, where he was known for his tactical intelligence, leadership, and deep understanding of the game. After retiring from competition, he turned his focus to coaching and development, quickly earning a reputation as a thoughtful and innovative strategist.

In 2023, Adam joined GBWR as Assistant Coach, working closely with Head Coach Paul Shaw and the national squad. His influence was immediately felt, contributing to the team’s preparation and performance at major international events, including the 2024 Canada Cup and the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, where GB narrowly missed out on a medal.

Now serving as Lead Coaching Consultant, Adam plays a key role in shaping the future of British wheelchair rugby, supporting athlete development, refining game strategy, and mentoring the next generation of coaches. His international perspective and commitment to excellence continue to elevate the GB programme on the world stage.
