October sees the start of the Super Series Division One and Division Two seasons with plenty of rugby to look forward to between now and the end of the year.
Last month, Division Three started their 2018/19 season in Stoke Mandeville, the home of the Paralympic Games. The Stoke Mandeville Stadium will play host again for the Division Two tournament on 13th/14thOctober. Last season’s Division Two Champions Burn will face competition from many familiar faces in Westcountry Hawks, Gloucester Titans, Caledonian Crushers, Ospreys and RGC. Ulster Barbarians will join the Division Two line up for the first time following Division Three promotion and DMP Bulls opted for voluntary relegation as they gear up for their first season in the second tier since the 2015/16 season.
Division One will take place a week later (October 20th/21st) as Tigers look to defend their league title. They will face stiff competition from Storm and West Coast Crash, who have both won the league in recent years. Former league winners Crusaders will also be ready for another season in the top flight and they will be joined by Team Solent Sharks, Canterbury Hellfire, Gaelic Warriors and Yorkshire Lions, who will be making their top-flight debuts when Division One rolls into Fenton Manor Sports Complex this month.
As with all of our domestic league and cup meetings, it is all completely FREE for spectators and this is a great chance to see some of the best players from across the UK and Europe compete in one of the best leagues in the world. For more information, visit our events calendar here.
