The ‘Let’s Play’ event in Leeds gave Willow (pictured below with GBWR Coach Luke White) the opportunity to experience not only wheelchair rugby, but wheelchair sports, for the first time. Willow has been desperate to try wheelchair rugby since the London 2012 Paralympics, realising the potential there was for her to play sport and be a part of something that has inspired her.
Willow’s father said the day was ‘a real turning point for her’ and that Willow ‘smiled from the beginning to the end of the session’.
Luke White delivered an inspiring and fun session, leaving Willow and family with plans to visit the next Super Series and make contact with their local GBWR club.
