- March kicked off showcasing our partnership with Socios.com on International Women’s Day. Ex-GB player Kylie Grimes and Socios Ambassador Sarah Storey shared stories and thoughts about the life as athletes. Be sure to watch their three videos on our Instagram channel if you haven’t seen them yet.
2. Three of our teams, Stoke Mandeville Maulers, RGC, and Ospreys took the trip over to Cologne, Germany for the Bernd Best tournament. RGC were runners up in the Professional league while Ospreys came out victorious in the Advanced league. While Maulers finished sixth in the Advanced league, I can imagine the overall experience for the players was a positive one. Well done all for making the effort and taking part.
3. The GB team were back in training and wrapped up the month in Denmark at the Musholm Cup alongside the U.S.A and Denmark. Our very own Stuart Robinson swapped rugby balls for cutlery as he joined as a judge for the BBC’s Great British Menu.
4. We finished March with the next iteration of our I CAN PLAY. campaign in conjunction with national Cerebral Palsy (CP) day. Highlighting some of the players who continue to thrive in our sport.
5. Quad Nations is just a few weeks away. Please continue to share the posts from both our Quad Nations and GBWR accounts so we can reach the maximum number of people. We look forward to seeing many of you in Cardiff in April.
6. Wheelchair Rugby 5s Rolls into Sunderland for the start of the 2024 Allied Mobility Wheelchair Rugby 5s competition. The action tips off at 9am and will go on until 5pm each day on Saturday 13th & Sunday 14th April at the Beacon of Light.
