GBWR is the national governing body for wheelchair rugby – the only mixed-gender, full chair-contact sport in the Paralympic Games. This announcement comes as the organisation sets its sights on the Los Angeles 2028 Paralympics, aiming to build on a 4th-place finish at Paris 2024 and kick off a new chapter under a new coaching and leadership team.

The GB team will compete at the European Championship from 22–27 April, marking the official debut of the new Canterbury kit. This tournament represents a key milestone on the road to the LA 2028 and the start of an exciting new era for the partnership.
