It has been an exceptionally busy but rewarding season for GBWR with regards to classification. Following a series of workshops welcoming new potential trainees we were able to select a group for GBWR to invest in as official trainee classifiers.
Throughout the season the team of classifiers attended new clubs, BT Super Series weekends and the BT National Championships, and a total of 61 athletes went through the classification process.
In April, Yvonne Culloty, a classifier who was introduced to the sport via Justin Frishberg back in 2012 and has been working with Sarah Leighton, was able to attend the European Championships Division B tournament in Prague where she successfully gained her International Level 2 certification.
Following the hard work and dedication shown by both the trainees and the experienced tutoring of Sarah Leighton and Deborah Bowditch we are delighted that GBWR now have a team of qualified classifiers, as our trainees were signed off as National Level 2 Classifiers at the BT National Championships.
