This weekend, Stoke Mandeville Stadium will play host to the 2018 Lord’s Taverners Junior Wheelchair Rugby National Championship.
It is the second tournament since the partnership with Lord’s Taverners began, and five teams from across the UK will be travelling to Aylesbury for the national title.
Exeter Hawks, coached by Westcountry Hawks veteran Adam Simmons, won the competition last year in an exciting final with Ospreys.
Hawks will be again joined by runners-up Ospreys, as well as Saracens, Bristol and Team Solent Sharks who complete the line up on Saturday.
Each team will play each other once in a round robin format with games starting at 11am. The final will be at 3:15pm followed by presentations.
It is set to be a great day and an opportunity to see the next generation playing this wonderful Paralympic sport. The event is free for spectators and we look forward to welcoming all the teams, players, officials and spectators to the Stoke Mandeville Stadium.
