Dale joined GBWR in 2017 as a Regional Development Officer for Northern England following a number of years of volunteering within his local club (North East Bulls) and within the GBWR talent pathway. Dale comes with good knowledge in sports development having worked in many different areas of the sector since 2009. Dale has previously tutored GBWRs level two coaching courses and has helped shape the course content following a redesign period which started in 2022.
In the same year, following GBWRs internal re-structure, Dale moved into the Development Adminsitrator role which see’s him support the development team amongst other duties. While maintaining support to the development team Dale also took on further remits in safeguarding and coaching and transitioned into the Development and Coach Co-ordinator until most recently where Dale has moved back into a club development focused position as a Club Development Manager (Coaching and Safeguarding).
Dale is likely most notable in his role as an official for the sport and is often seen at domestic and oversea’s tournaments as both a table official and referee, he achieved his international licence for the sport and is a certified WWR International Referee following a successful evaluation at the 2023 European Championship Division C tournament in Lingnano Sabbiadoro, Italy.
