Chris became Senior Independent Director (SID) of GBWR in late 2024 having previously chaired the Governance and Finance Committee (GFC) since 2020. He started his involvement in GBWR as an independent member of the GFC in 2018.
Chris is a Chartered Management Accountant (ACMA) and Chartered Secretary and has held a number of senior finance roles across the corporate and sporting sectors.
Following a 12-year career in senior middle office roles in corporate banking, Chris worked in sport for 14 years. Across the UK sporting sector, he has held senior finance roles at Commonwealth Games England, British Rowing and Badminton England. Prior to that, he was in diverse roles at Rugby Australia, Queensland Rugby and Sport Australia where he first witnessed the speed, thrill and collisions of wheelchair rugby.
Chris is a keen runner and an avid sports fan.
