Allied Mobility Wheelchair Rugby Division One – Aylesbury
The Allied Mobility Wheelchair Rugby Division One weekend delivered high-octane action at Stoke Mandeville, with six teams battling for supremacy in Division One. Fans were treated to relentless pace, tactical brilliance, and some standout individual performances across two thrilling days of competition.
Saturday 22 November – D1 Showdowns
The opening day set the tone for an intense tournament. London Storm started strong with a 62–41 win over Stoke Mandeville Maulers, while Leicester Tigers showcased their attacking firepower, defeating Cheltenham Tigers 62–48. Over on Court 2, West Coast Crash dominated North East Bulls 63–31.
Cheltenham bounced back in style, edging Storm 52–45, but Crash continued their charge with a commanding 72–28 victory over the Maulers. Leicester maintained their unbeaten streak, overpowering the Maulers 73–28, while Storm secured a 51–37 win against the Bulls. The day closed with Crash defeating Cheltenham 55–42 and Leicester sealing another win, 56–28 against the Bulls.
Sunday 23 November – Final Day Drama
Day two brought even more drama. Crash opened with a 58–48 triumph over Storm, while Cheltenham kept their hopes alive with a 49–28 win against the Bulls. The clash of titans saw Leicester edge Crash 54–50 in a nail-biter, before the Bulls claimed their first win, 50–39 over the Maulers.
Storm fought hard but fell 61–50 to Leicester, and Cheltenham wrapped up their campaign with a 64–37 victory over the Maulers.
