Biography
Tyler Walker is one of the brightest young stars in British wheelchair rugby. Born with Cerebral Palsy, Tyler’s journey in the sport began at the age of 14 when he was introduced to wheelchair rugby through GBWR’s junior programme. His natural talent and passion for the game quickly stood out, and in January 2023, he joined the GB Performance Pathway.
Tyler’s rapid development and commitment to the sport earned him a place on the international stage. He made his GB debut at the 2024 Canada Cup, showcasing his skill and composure against some of the world’s top teams. Later that year, he was part of the squad that competed at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, where Great Britain narrowly missed out on a medal, finishing fourth after a close 50–48 loss to Australia in the bronze medal match.
Classified as a 3.5 player, Tyler brings speed, agility, and passion to the court. His energy and drive make him a valuable asset to the team and a player to watch in the years ahead.
Off the court, Tyler is a passionate Manchester United supporter and enjoys following live sport. When he’s not training or competing, he values time with his friends and family, staying grounded and connected to those who support him most.
