Biography

Kieran’s journey into wheelchair rugby began after a life-changing injury in 2013. A talented rugby union player who played centre for his local team, Crewe and Nantwich, Kieran sustained a spinal injury during a tackle in a match. Following several months of rehabilitation, he returned to university and successfully completed his law degree, demonstrating the same resilience and determination that would later define his sporting career.

Keen to stay active and connected to sport, Kieran joined his local wheelchair rugby club, RGC. After a year of development, he transferred to Leicester Tigers Wheelchair Rugby, where he continues to play today. His natural talent, tactical understanding, and competitive spirit quickly caught the attention of GB coaches, and in 2018 he was invited onto the GB Talent Pathway.

After years of hard work and steady progression, Kieran was selected for the GB long squad in 2021. He made his international debut at the 2022 European Championships in Paris, where he helped the team secure a silver medal—a proud milestone in his career.

Off the court, Kieran is a passionate Liverpool FC supporter and a dedicated fan of live sport. Whether playing or spectating, his love for competition and teamwork continues to drive him forward.
