Harlequins and England Captain Chris Robshaw joined GBWR Ambassador Mike Brown for the launch of a new partnership between the GB squad and Harlequins. GB Captain Mike Kerr led Kylie Grimes, Jim Roberts and Chris Ryan in a short game with the Harlequins players which thrilled the media and those watching. GBWR and Harlequins have agreed a 5 year partnership where they will work together in a number of areas. GBWR will support Harlequins to deliver their community objectives through the new Harlequins Foundation and Harlequins will support GBWR with sponsorship and promotional activities, and will support the GB performance programme.

Wheelchair rugby became the focus of Prince Harry's attention today as he visited Tedworth House Recovery Centre. GBWR are working with the organisers of Invictus and to support them in providing an exciting wheelchair tournament as part of the games which will take place between 10-13 September.
The Prince spent time watching the session delivered by GBWR as well as talking to some of our existing wheelchair rugby players as they trained alongside the Invictus Team hopefuls.

The week of wheelchair rugby got into full swing today as Stoke City Goalkeeper, Daniel Bachmann swapped his gloves for a rugby chair as he took part in a session with the newly formed West Midlands Warriors Wheelchair Rugby Club.
The week of wheelchair rugby will see a whole range of local groups take part in the sport for the first time and will culminate in the GBWR National Championships at the weekend.

Get Kids Going! have supported GBWR athletes through generously donating rugby wheelchairs for a number of years, in addition to the support they have provided to other sports. At the Winter Paralympic Games in Sochi recently, the Get Kids Going! skiers won all the medals!
The London Marathon Week is a busy time of year for Get Kids Going!, and they are in need of volunteers at both the London Marathon Expo (9th – 12th April) and also on the Cheering Team on Race Day (Sunday 13th April).
Any help you, family and friends could give at the Expo or on Race Day would be wonderful and a great help.

As we come to the end of an incredibly busy Super Series season where we have seen no less that 29 officials supporting our domestic competitions, for some of our devoted officiating team the season is far from over as they head off for International appointments.
April’s Bernd Best Tournament in Germany will be supported by referees Bri Ward, Dave Woods and Cyril Illman with Ricky Goddard as table official.
The Canada Cup in June has included Bri Ward as a reserve referee which takes place only a few weeks after Bri returns from the Champions League 1 competition in Poland where he will be both refereeing and table officiating.
